The Accreditation Council in Imaging is the accreditation body of the EBR and provides a one-step service for CME accreditation, supporting the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) in delivering and harmonising the highest level of CME in imaging.

European CMEs (ECMEC ®) are recognised in USA through the agreement of mutual recognition signed in 2002 between the UEMS-EACCME and the AMA (American Medical Association). Furthermore, in 2016 an agreement of mutual recognition of CME credits was signed between the UEMS-EACCME and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Our purpose

The ACI aims to provide the highest level of CME available today. The ACI’s purpose is to make managing CME quick and easy for all applicants and to be the beacon of European and global CME.

Understanding the
community & improving it

The ACI aims to investigate trends and developments in radiology education.

For that reason, one of the tasks of the ACI Policy Committee is the research of the evolution, trends and needs of the radiological community in Continuing Medical Education in Europe and beyond, which is carried out through surveys among the members of the European Society of Radiology (ESR).
